Wiggle Nymph

No comments yet

Detached Body Nymph. This is an idea I saw on the below video which is similar to many of the design ideas for Damsel fly nymphs.

Here is my version of this idea to create a swimming and wiggling nymph without making it articulated and keeping it small.

Hook: Nymph sizes 14, 16
Tail: Marabou color of your choice tied into a clump on a needle and then glued with UV to form a small glue wedge. Tie in the composed tail at least 1mm away from the glue spot.
Body: hare's ear covered with marabou - abdomen half or shorter the hook length
Rib: small wire over the abdomen.
Thorax: thicker chunk of hare's ear with marabou tied over like a wing case. Pick out dubbing
Bead: 2.8mm black nickel tungsten.

Give it a whirl!

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
